MärRem Remington

Because of my special education background I incorporate sensory integration, processing issues, social skills, and play facilitation into my practice and help you learn how to embed it into your child's day. Our "work" is co-created to best meet what you, your child, and your family need.

I have an integrated style. Some of the therapeutic approaches I use are strength-based interventions, mindfulness and acceptance, relational, body and client-centered therapy focused on developing ways of communicating that work for each person or family.

With more than 20 years of experience in the field of education has informed me about how children learn and the significance of creating a safe and secure relationship in the learning environment.

My experience is wide ranging and includes an Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellowship from Harvard Medical School, in conjunction with Children’s Hospital Boston and Napa County Health and Human Services; a Masters in Counseling from John F. Kennedy University; and a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Special Education from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo.
